Tribeca Film Festival and the Disruptor Foundation in association with Harvard Professor Clayton Christensen, father of disruptive innovation theory, presents its Fifth Annual Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards to recognize disruptors and disruption of major consequence across a broad section of traditional and non-traditional domains. Christensen’s original theory explains how simpler, cheaper products and services (the personal computer, the MP3 fi le, Netfl ix and Wikipedia) decimate industry leaders. But when pop culture and people's identity enter the innovation equation disruption is a whole different ball of wax!
