SHORTS IN COMPETITION: DOCUMENTARY

SMUT CAPITAL OF AMERICA

Directed by Michael Stabile
SHORT DOCUMENTARY 16 Minutes World Premiere
FILM GUIDE SMUT CAPITAL OF AMERICA

In 1969, as the sexual revolution gained steam, San Francisco effectively decriminalized hardcore pornography. It was the first city in the US to do so, and it turned San Francisco into a boomtown for sex. Smut Capital talks to the theater owners, film producers, and stars in an attempt to recreate a revolution that wasn't televised, but screened.
