About the Director(s)
Jon Griggs - well, what can you say about this ex-pat Brit? Bugger-all, really!!! Chased out of school by his headmaster; several years spent in the service of Her Majesty; a couple more years spent in a dwindling fascination for things not content to stay on the ground. And then, finally, New York City and a rekindling of a lost desire - film, and a slow gravitation towards storytelling through the art of editing. Credits include, 'Choking Man' directed by Steve Barron, premiering in the Tribeca International Narrative Competition; 'First Time Caller'; 'Apple's Cherry' (SXSW 2006) and 'Airspeed'. As a NYC resident and having worked on the first Tribeca Film Festival as the Tribeca Grand house manager, Jon is chuffed to bits to be premiering his experimental short with a subtle message, 'Deviation,' at Tropfest@Tribeca!
