Meet The Filmmakers at the Apple Store!

Apple and indieWIRE are celebrating the spirit of independent film by getting you up close and personal with a slew of Festival talents and surprises, including appearances from Spike Lee, Dan Fogler, Natalie Portman, Eric Bana, Diego Luna, and much more!

The Tribeca Film Festival, Apple, and indieWIRE are proud to once again present Filmmaker Talks at the Apple Store SoHo (103 Prince Street). Get up close and personal with some of your favorite film talents and the Festival's brightest lights from April 22 to May 3. All events are free and open to the public, and seating is first come, first served.

We're throwing a slew of starpower your way, so get ready to hear from a cavalcade of stars, producers, and directors!
 



Wednesday, April 22

Spike Lee speaks about his documentaries Passing Strange and Kobe Doin' Work. Both films are set to screen at Tribeca.
 



Friday, April 24

Natalie Portman joins CEO Christine Aylward to discuss their new web project, Making Of, which is set to transform the way people view, enjoy, and participate in entertainment.

@ 6:00 pm
Dan Fogler, the Tony Award-winning actor (The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee), discusses Hysterical Psycho, his directorial debut screening at Tribeca.

@ 7:30 pm
Director/producer Lee Daniels discusses his career, ranging from producing Monster's Ball to his recent Sundance Film Festival-winning film Precious, about the titular Harlem teen and featuring revelatory performances by Mo'Nique and Mariah Carey.

Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, and debuting director Carlos Cuarón (who wrote Y Tu Mamá También) reunite for Rudo y Cursi, the story of two hilarious brothers playing professional soccer. Catch the film at Tribeca.

Hear from documentary director Gabriel Noble as he talks up his Tribeca-premiere P-Star Rising, the story of a Harlem father and daughter working to make the young girl a rap star.

The great Canadian director Atom Egoyan is in town to talk about his new film Adoration, about a young boy discovering his family history.
