At this rate, Amy Schumer might as well run for president in 2016.
The hilarious comedian, and star of Comedy Central’s Peabody-Award-winning Inside Amy Schumer, has been everywhere lately, and doing every single thing possible to ensure her world domination. Just two weeks ago, for example, Schumer and her Inside Amy Schumer writing staff brought the show’s second season premiere to the Tribeca Film Festival for an exclusive sneak peek, an event during which she talked about the now-classic “12 Angry Men Inside Amy Schumer” episode that nearly blew up Twitter earlier this week.
And she’s just getting warmed up. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Schumer will film her first HBO comedy special on May 29, at the Apollo Theater. It’ll air on HBO later this year, with an extra bit of cool cache: its director will be Chris Rock.
