The White House Hosts Its First Student Film Festival

With hosts Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson - and you can watch all 16 films and the event online.

Months ago, President Barack Obama asked kids all across America to make short films showing how technology has affected their education, and how it will impact future generations. Today, the White House is hosting its first Student Film Festival

There were reportedly over 2,500 submissions, and now the 16 finalists will gather at the White House along with teachers, parents, and hosts Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson for the screening and ceremony.

"Information [...] is available to you at your fingertips. It has changed the world. What you have now is the ability to learn things so much more quickly than I could when I was in school," says Bill Nye.

You can watch all 16 films online and live-stream the event today at 3:30 pm EST.
