Strickler is a writer and entrepreneur whose work supports creative people. He co-founded Kickstarter, Metalabel, & the Artist Corporations Foundation; authored three books; and co-hosts the New Creative Era podcast. His career began as a music critic writing for Pitchfork, Spin, and the Village Voice. He grew up on a farm in Virginia, and lives with his family in New York City.

Previously COO of Wenner Media, he led Rolling Stone's sale to Penske Media and led digital strategy for Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal. Wenner is a graduate of Brown University.
