Michael Knowles studied acting and writing with award-winning filmmaker Tom Noonan before producing the first incarnation of Room 314 which he wrote over a three-week period in the summer of 2001. He continued to develop the piece at the Bottle Factory Theater, which he cofounded with Amanda Gruss. As an actor, Knowles has appeared on Sex and The City, Law and Order: SVU, Guiding Light, As The World Turns, and in the award-winning independent features Point & Shoot and Walking On The Sky. This past year, he wrote and produced the short film, Characters, starring Lucas Haas and Sarah Foster.
