After producing a number of short films, Samuel Dowe-Sandes makes his writing and directing debut with Out of The Woods. He was previously a development executive for five years at the Robert Evans Company. While he is not a hunter, Dowe-Sandes did grow up in the southern Vermont location depicted in the film. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Caitlin.
