As part of the Tribeca/Sloan Screenplay Development Program, the Tribeca Film Institute presents scene readings from 2005's selected participants. Each reading features professional actors as well as discussions with filmmakers, writers, and scientists. Hubble follows the trials and tribulations of a genius in conflict with his own frail ego. Edwin Hubble was the American astronomer who dared to give human kind a glimpse of the awesome and dynamic universe we inhabit. His discoveries had an irrevocable impact on both Einstein's Theory of Relativity and religious leaders moralizing the origins of man. Set as the tale of Hubble's protégé questing for the truth of this master's life, the story explores the baffling link between scientific genius and human fallibility.
