Born in 1982 to an Orthodox Jewish family, Leah Tonic, at the age of 16, made the decision to lead a secular life. She finished her studies in the field of creative writing at Camera Obscura School of Art. She is currently studying at the Sam Speigel Film & Television school in the Directors course, majoring in editing, filming and writing, with her film, Firstborn, as her debut.
