A.J. Al-Thani is an award-winning Qatari filmmaker. She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in communications. She began her filmmaking career alongside Doha Film Institute when it was founded in 2010, and has since directed two short films, Kashta in 2016 and The Black Veil in 2019.
