Drama

Memo (Jorge Garcia) was a chubby boy and although he had a beautiful voice, was relegated to singing from behind the scenes as another, conventionally prettier boy with star quality took center stage. This has left a deep mark and Memo, now an adult, lives as unobtrusively as possible on a remote sheep farm on a Chilean island together with his uncle. Refusing to interact with visitors, he nevertheless lives a rich inner life, sewing glittery stage costumes and painting his nails. One day, Martita comes into his life and slowly starts sweeping the cobwebs out of his mind. She naively posts a video of him singing on Youtube and the world once again hears his beautiful voice. Once the video gets 1m views, Memo attracts the attention he's been both craving and fleeing his entire life. He now has the stage, but what will he do with his newly rediscovered voice, and will people want to listen? An amazing performance by the adorable Jorge Garcia (Lost, Hawaii Five-0), who stars in this moving drama produced by Juan de Dios Larraín and Pablo Larraín. — Mafalda Melo
