In this conversation, Alexandre Perez (Sergeant James, France), Ricardo Laganaro (Step To The Line, US/Brazil), and Selly Raby Kane (The Other Dakar, Senegal) discuss how travel and exploration has informed their creative work as well as their worldviews. Alexandre Perez

After graduating from the ESEC film school in Paris, Alexandre Perez embarked on a career in directing, starting with the short film Parking (Best Director Award, Mobile Film Festival 2014). He followed that with more award-winning shorts. In 2016 he developed Sergeant James, his first 360° fiction (VR).

Ricardo Laganaro

Ricardo Laganaro is an award-winning Brazilian director. His film The Line received several awards, including Best VR Experience at Venice Film Festival. He started in 2013, creating a museum full-dome experience. He directed 360-degree videos with over 60 million views, including VR documentary Step to the Line, which premiered at Tribeca.
