Reimagining the art of storytelling through connected digital landscapes

Tribeca Talks
| 60 MINUTES

This session features two incredible and successful artists, Kiya Tadele, the leader of Ethiopian art collective Yatreda and Joey L, an author and photographer who have been utilizing multiple mediums - film, photo, NFTs and the Metaverse to highlight the stories and cultural histories of communities not often seen by the western world. The couple works to use technology to connect these cultures to a dynamic set of supporters. Kiya's project Yatreda has leveraged web3 tools to bring collectors and fans closer to the family based art collective and the history of Ethiopia.

We will discuss how creators are leveraging onchain tools and passionate communities to explore the art of visual storytelling.

Panelists:
Kiya Tadele - Artist
Joey L. - Artist
Benny Gross - Collector and Advisor
Sam Ewen - CoinDesk
