Daft Punk's Electroma: 4k Remaster and 20th Anniversary

Reunions & Retrospectives
Feature Narrative | France, United States | 72 MINUTES

A 2006 avant-garde science fiction film directed by the French electronic music duo Daft Punk (Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo). The story revolves around the quest of two robots to become human.

Originally filmed on 35mm film, the 4K remaster of Daft Punk’s Electroma was meticulously created in conjunction with FotoKem, the post-production house that worked on the original film. The intent was to replicate the original theatrical release print from 20 years ago.

After the Screening: A conversation with Thomas Bangalter (cinematographer, co-director, screenwriter) and Cédric Hervet (editor, screenwriter). Moderated by David Fear, Senior Editor and Film Critic at Rolling Stone
