Part of the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day gives fans of all ages an opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on, interactive, sports-related games, demonstrations, clinics, performances, meet-and-greets, and giveaways on its very own city block (North Moore, between Greenwich and West Streets). Together with the Family Festival Street Fair, Sports Day will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Little ones will be able to jump, hop, skip and soar at this outdoor play space!

You won’t want to miss this high energy, interactive and engaging BMX Stunt Show featuring action sports athletes performing some of the coolest tricks on BMX bikes! (pending weather conditions)

American Youth Table Tennis Organization
Come test your table tennis skills with the pros! The AYTTO offers inner-city youth the opportunity to learn the dynamic and strageic sport of table tennis.

Brooklyn Cyclones
Sandy the Seagull is leaving Brooklyn for the day to meet and greet fans in Tribeca! Be sure to test your baseball skills with their pitching machine!

Darrelle Revis
Pro Bowl Cornerback Darrelle Revis of the New York Jets will make a special appearance, mingling with fans and taking photos.
 

Jersey Express
Players from the ABA’s Jersey Express will make surprise appearances and handing out giveaways.

The NHL Stanley Cup contenders will be on site to share the excitement of the playoffs with their fans!

Feel the energy with performances by the Nets Dancers, Nets Kids Dance Team, and NETSationals – the NBA’ first senior citizen hip-hop team and the subject of the 2008 Tribeca/ESPN documentary, Gotta Dance. Sly the Fox will be in the crowd pumping everyone up!

New York Islanders
The Islanders invite you to bounce and play on their interactive inflatables and slapshot booth. Sparky the Dragon will also be on site to practice his hockey skills as well!

New York Mets
Mr. Met will be on hand to celebrate the Mets’ inaugural season at CitField.

New York Red Bulls
Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls’ Street Team will showcase their crazy freestyle soccer tricks and skills!

New York Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation
Don’t miss the amazing Step Team from I.S. 231 in Queens as they take the Main Stage.

New York Women’s Baseball Association
Former NYU Coach Susan Winthrop and her coaching staff will be joining the fun, conducting pitching and throwing clinics on behalf of the NYWBA.

PowerPlay, Inc.
PowerPlay’s mission is to educate and empower girls through sports, and will host rotating clinics in various sports
all day long.

There will be Sports Day performances taking place on the Street Fair Main Stage between 2:30 and 3:15 pm.
