100 Years of Universal
3:00 pm: BMCC Tribeca PAC

In celebration of 100 years of Universal Studios, join us for a conversation with iconic actors and directors Robert De Niro and Judd Apatow as they share their favorite moments and memories from Universal's extraordinary history. Moderated by Mike Fleming, Film Editor for Deadline Hollywood. For Festival lovers who are not American Express cardmembers, you can watch this event live in the Tribeca Online Film Festival at 3 pm ET.

Opens at 6:00 pm/Movie at 8:00 pm: The World Financial Center Plaza 

Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water, Steven Spielberg's masterpiece returns to the big screen! Co-sponsored by Jet Blue and Time Warner Cable, come see the movie that terrified a generation, launched the summer blockbuster, and became one of the most enduring action-suspense films of all time. Arrive early to celebrate  Universal Studios' 100th Anniversary with trivia contests, live music from Afro-jazz pioneers Nomo, and surprise special guests, courtesy of the upcoming New York Downtown Jazz Festival.

In the opening night film of our World Narrative Competition, Israeli director Eytan Fox returns to Tribeca with a follow-up to his 2003 film Yossi and Jagger. Returning to the role that won him TFF's Best Actor award in  2003, Ohad Knoller gives another extraordinary performance as a closeted gay man living a solitary existence in Tel Aviv.

Polisse
9:30 pm, SVA

The CPU hunts child molesters, confronts abusive parents, finds shelters for unwanted children, and counsels oversexed teens, all while being seen as a lesser branch of the police force by its fellow crime departments... Grounded in documentary research and naturalistic performances, this unforgettable film from TFF alum Maïwenn (All About Actresses) explores the solidarity that helps hardened vice cops face the worst of society every day.

War Witch
9:45 pm, Clearview Cinemas Chelsea

Montreal-based filmmaker Kim Nguyen paints a poignant and harrowing portrait of Komona, a 14-year-old girl (wonderfully played by nonprofessional actress Rachel Mwanza) who has been kidnapped from her African village by rebels to become a child soldier. She escapes from the camp with an older albino soldier and experiences for the very first time the joys of a peaceful and loving life, but a fresh tragedy will force her to confront and fight the ghosts haunting her mind.

This FREE panel with include producer/director Brett Ratner and representatives from American Express and Chipotle. Moderated by Jon Patricof, President and Chief Operating Officer of Tribeca Enterprises. 

TFF/ESPN Sports Film Festival Gala: BENJI
6:00 pm: BMCC Tribeca PAC

Sponsored by Time Warner Cable, BENJI is a gripping documentary about Ben Wilson, a 17-year-old basketball prodigy whose life was tragically cut short due to violent nature of the South Side of Chicago.
