New York Director Scott Thrift Completes Film for the Tribeca Art Awards

This year, for the first time, Tribeca and CHANEL invited Scott Thrift, an acclaimed filmmaker and founder of the Brooklyn-based creative collective m ss ng p eces, to document the 11 amazing pieces donated by artists Kara Walker, JR, Peter Dayton, Clifford Ross, Walton Ford, Cindy Sherman, Stephen Hannock, Kim Keever, Nathan Sawaya, Hugo Tillman, and Stanley Whitney.

The Tribeca Art Awards program, sponsored by CHANEL, is a unique and storied element of the Tribeca Film Festival, celebrating the diversity of the incredibly rich art that is part of the fabric of New York City.

Thrift's film will debut at the TFF Awards show on Thursday, April 26, at 7 pm, so tune in to TribecaFilm.com to watch the show and see the reveal, streamed live from the brand-new Conrad New York in downtown Manhattan.
