Announcing the 2024 Tribeca Festival Free Event Line-up: Talks, Workshops, and Masterclasses

Through thoughtful collaborations with industry leaders and community partners, Tribeca is proud to offer audiences an unparalleled lineup of free programming during the 2024 Festival this June. These events will bring together innovative creators who are revolutionizing the world of film and entertainment, providing unique opportunities for learning and inspiration.

Sample programming includes:

  • From Fiction to Change: Explore the work of creatives who saw an ignored issue or history and brought these stories to life through accessible fictional material, demonstrating how fiction is a powerful tool for impact.
  • Navigating the Truth: How Nonfiction Media Breaks Through: Figuring out what is true and what is not is more important than ever. Nonfiction media is a tool to fill that gap between an individual and the truth. In this conversation, the panelists, who come from a range of different nonfiction mediums, discuss their methods for breaking through.
  • The Art of the Pitch: AT&T Untold Stories program collaborators and pitch experts will share how to create a compelling, authentic, and effective pitch worthy of a million-dollar prize.
  • The Value of One: Panelists will discuss the power of organizations that create opportunities for historically excluded creators, often through film funding, and how that both changes the creator's life and can also lead to systemic change.
  • Big Wins and Benefits for Disability Inclusion and Workplace Culture: Hear from an esteemed panel of disabled advocates as they discuss what an inclusive set experience really means, the best practices around accessibility, and give advice on ways any business can work towards a more inclusive workplace culture.
  • Masterclass: Editing with Christopher Tellefsen: Drawing on samples of his work across the last 30 plus years, Academy Award nominated editor Christopher Tellefsen will shed light on the often overlooked practice of film editing and how the work that happens in the edit room transforms the films we ultimately see.
