Rising star artist Justin Bettman is making a name for
himself by turning found-on-the-street objects into installation art gold.

Bettman hand-transforms New York City sidewalks into photo shoot-ready vignettes -- actors, costumes, and all -- then leaves the awe-inspiring remains to be re-appropriated by random passersby (see: ever-trending Instagram #SetInTheStreet) and literally re-claimed, object by object, until there's nothing left.

This morning we teamed up to bring Bettman's latest endeavor to life at
the pace of a real, live movie set – 4:30 AM call time, professional
actors, and all.

The set lives on all day on the steps leading up to Tribeca
creative hub Spring Studios at 50 Varick Street.

We “wrapped” on film just as the rain broke and rush hour kicked into high gear. But the story doesn’t end there.

Early this morning, Nina directed traffic from the Holland Tunnel away from @justinbettman's #TFF2015 Set In The Street installation so that we could wrap up shooting the set. Come down today and check it out at 50 Varick Street. #tribecatogether
