TFF 2013 Trailer of the Day: ‘Whitewash’
Oscilloscope Laboratories recently acquired ‘Whitewash,’ the feature that won filmmaker Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais the Best New Narrative Director at TFF 2013.
Thomas Haden Church gives a revelatory performance as Bruce, a man on the run from the law in Whitewash. Picked up for theatrical and digital distribution by Oscilloscope Laboratories, this TFF 2013 film takes place mostly in the isolated forests of Quebec during the brutal Canadian winter.
Utilizing a dry, matter-of-fact (and often sardonic) voice-over narration provided by Haden Church, Whitewash explores the inner-workings of a guilty conscience as Bruce struggles against the elements and his own self.
