It’s hard to believe we’re just one day away from Opening Night of the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival! As part of our new partnership with Madison Square Garden, we are excited to kick off this year’s Opening Night celebration, co-sponsored by Hennessy V.S and Beats Music, supported by Heineken and Revolt, at one of MSG’s most historic venues, the Beacon Theatre.
In case you haven’t heard, Opening Night is completely sold out, and with good reason. This year’s Festival opens with the world premiere of Time is Illmatic, a documentary directed by One9 that tracks the course of Nas’ 1994 landmark debut album, Illmatic. Check out the newly released trailer below:
Immediately following the screening, Nas will take the stage to perform the entire groundbreaking album live at the Beacon. Needless to say, it’s going to be a night to remember! If you’re one of the lucky fans who got tickets to tomorrow’s event, we look forward to celebrating right alongside you! If you’re weren’t able to secure tickets, we hope you’ll check out our Twitter and Instagram feeds to get a peek at all the action.
