Watch: Live From Tribeca Talks® Directors Series: Jay Roach with Ben Stiller
On Sunday 4/21, Emmy Award®-winning director Jay Roach (“Game Change”) joined his long-time collaborator Ben Stiller at TFF 2013 to discuss Roach’s career and his upcoming projects. Watch the archived livestream here. (Spoiler alert: it turned out great.)
How often do you get to pick the brain of an award-winning director? Our popular Tribeca Talks® Directors Series, sponsored by OppenheimerFunds®, is one of our most beloved programs and with good reason. This year, in addition to the Roach/Stiller pairing, the series features chats with directors Mira Nair, Richard Linklater, and Clint Eastwood, moderated by peers Bryce Dallas Howard, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, and Darren Aronofsky.
It’s rare that audiences can listen in as seasoned directors in converse about their craft with key collaborators, bringing pearls of wisdom, thoughtful insights and amusing anecdotes to the TFF crowd.
For this Festival, we are pleased to be able to live-stream right here on our website the Tribeca Talks® Directors Series panel with director Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents), joined by actor/director (and long-time collaborator) Ben Stiller. No topic will be off the table as Stiller prompts Roach to talk about his varied career and to share his thoughts on the industry as a whole. So whether they live across the country, are trapped at work or just stuck uptown, film lovers can enjoy what is sure to be a lively discussion between two like minds.
If you’re not available today at 3PM under any circumstances, you’ll be able to catch the recorded Livestream on our site at a later date. Don’t worry. We’re looking out for you.
