The big challenge for me was to kind of get over this idea that I was the youngest person on set.

Referencing his TV movie Skyward, Howard went on to mention the tiff between him and Bette Davis, who was skeptical of having such a youngster direct her at the time. After the first day on set together, tides turned in the most unexpected way.
