NEW YORK – (April 10, 2024) – Tribeca and Bleecker Street today announced an advance screening of the upcoming feature film EZRA, directed by Tony Goldwyn and starring Robert De Niro and Bobby Cannavale, exclusively for Tribeca Members on April 29, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at SVA Theatre in New York City. De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, Tribeca’s co-founders, will be in attendance for the red-carpet event, along with Goldwyn and Cannavale. Following the screening, Goldwyn and Cannavale will participate in a Q&A. The special evening closes out Autism Acceptance Month.
“I had a great time working on the film with everyone involved. It was done with a lot of heart with people who really cared and had a personal involvement in the project,” said De Niro. “I’m excited to share this with my Tribeca family.”
EZRA follows Max Bernal (Bobby Cannavale), a stand-up comedian living with his father (Robert De Niro) while struggling to co-parent his autistic son Ezra (introducing William Fitzgerald) with his ex-wife (Rose Byrne). When forced to confront difficult decisions about their son’s future, Max and Ezra embark on a cross-country road trip that has a transcendent impact on both their lives. Directed by Tony Goldwyn, who also appears in the film alongside additional cast members Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson, and Whoopi Goldberg, EZRA is an endearing and often funny exploration of a family determined to find their way through life’s complexities with humor, compassion, and heart.
“We’re thrilled to bring together our growing community of Tribeca Members for an exclusive, advance screening of EZRA during Autism Acceptance Month,” said Rosenthal, co-founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises. “Throughout the year, Tribeca Members will have access to a host of insider perks, such as exclusive premieres and events. Next month, we're eagerly anticipating our special Tribeca Festival Preview event where you can meet our team of programmers and get an early look at what's in store for this summer's festival.”
The advance screening of EZRA with Bleecker Street joins a lineup of exclusive events for Tribeca Members. Last week, members were treated to “An Evening with Larry David” to celebrate the series finale of the beloved HBO comedy series CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. Other membership perks coming this Spring include:
