Story Behind the Scene: The Comedy

In this original video, director Rick Alverson and star Tim Heidecker describe the filming of a pivotal scene in “The Comedy,” now on VOD and in theaters 11/9.

The Comedy, that controversial little festival gem you’ve been hearing about, is now available on VOD and digital platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, VUDU and more. Watch the film that Variety calls “compulsively fascinating!”

Tim Heidecker stars as Swanson, a man with unlimited options, who is on the verge of inheriting his father’s massive estate. Bored and adrift in Brooklyn, Swanson wastes his days with a group of like-minded hipster friends (Eric Wareheim, Gregg Turkington, and James Murphy) engaging in acts of recreational cruelty and pacified boredom.
