‘Open Grave’ to Screen at Scary Movies 7

The Film Society of Lincoln Center is continuing its tradition of honoring the best of new and old horror with its seventh annual Scary Movies series. Running from October 31 to November 7, the program kicks off on Halloween night with a rare screening of Michele Soavi’s Cemetery Man and the U.S Premiere of All Cheerleaders Die (with producer Andrew van den Houten in person). For the next week, the lineup will include highly anticipated horror films, thrillers, rare screenings and fan favorites. Filmmakers Eli Roth, Cliff Prowse, Derek Lee and more will be in attendance for select screenings.Included in the festivities is Open Grave, the mind-boggling genre ride from Tribeca Film. Directed by Gonzalo López-Gallego, this twisted thriller stars Sharlto Copley (Elysium, District 9) as a stranger who wakes up in a pit of dead bodies with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Also featuring Joseph Morgan, Josie Ho and Thomas Kretschmann, Open Grave will shock and delight even the most hard-core genre fans.

Other highlights include Clive Barker’s ultra rare Nightbreed-The Cabal Cut and the New York premiere of Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno. Click here to check out the complete line-up, and prepare yourself for a weeklong fright fest!
