Harmonium Mountain is a new video work by Clifford Ross with an original score by Philip Glass. It presents an imaginary landscape of colorful, animated elements derived entirely from one high-resolution photographic image of Colorado's Mount Sopris, the latest step in Ross' exploration of objective reality and subjective experience.

CLIFFORD ROSS began his career as a painter and sculptor after graduating from Yale in 1974, and he turned to photography in the mid 1990s. His artwork has been shown in galleries and museums around the world and is in numerous collections including MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum.
