Steven Soderbergh’s “No Sudden Move” Premieres at the Tribeca Festival
This highly anticipated crime drama is the Centerpiece Gala selection for the festival’s 20th-anniversary celebration.
Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move will make its world premiere at Tribeca Festival, presented by AT&T, as our Centerpiece Gala selection. Featuring an ensemble cast, the HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures film will have an in-person, outdoor premiere at New York City’s The Battery as part of our 12-day 20th anniversary celebration.
“A year ago I was on lockdown in Tribeca, so I never imagined we could return 12 months later with a new movie screening for a live audience in our neighborhood,” Steven Soderbergh. “I’m VERY happy.”
Set in 1954 Detroit, No Sudden Move focuses on a group of small-time criminals hired to steal a document. But when things go wrong, they must figure out who hired them and why. Don Cheadle, Julia Fox, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Amy Seimetz, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Culkin, Bill Duke, Noah Jupe, Craig muMs Grant, and Frankie Shaw star in this intricate thriller.
