Tribeca Film and Well Go USA Acquire ‘A Single Shot’ Starring Sam Rockwell

We’re pleased to announce that Tribeca Film and Well Go USA Entertainment have co-acquired the U.S rights to A Single Shot, directed by David M. Rosenthal. With a script by acclaimed author Matthew Jones adapted from his popular novel of the same name, the film stars Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Jeffrey Wright, Jason Isaacs, Joe Anderson and Kelly Reilly

This tense thriller set in West Virginia features Rockwell as John Moon, a poacher who fires a single shot at a deer and ends up accidentally killing a woman who is hiding in the woods. While looking through her things to discover her identity, he finds a large box of money. Strapped for cash, Moon takes the loot and decides to use it to fight the divorce action filed by his wife (Kelly Reilly) and to retain custody of their infant son. Naturally, the ill-gotten gains belong to a group of hardened criminals who are as desperate to recover the stolen cash as Moon is to keep it.

Praised by Time Out New York as an “expertly rendered white-trash Noir,” A Single Shot will hit VOD and digital platforms on August 20th. A limited nationwide theatrical release will follow on September 20.
