Tribeca Film and Well Go USA To Release Scott Foley’s Directorial Debut
‘Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife’ stars Patrick Wilson, Donald Faison, Amy Acker and Foley himself.
We’re pleased to announce that Tribeca Film and Well Go USA Entertainment have teamed up again to co-acquire the North American rights to Scott Foley’s Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife. In addition to writing and directing this hilarious dark comedy, Foley stars opposite Amy Acker (Much Ado About Nothing), James Carpinello (Gangster Squad), Dagmara Dominczyk (The Immigrant), Marika Dominczyk (“Brothers & Sisters”), Donald Faison (“Scrubs”), Greg Grunberg (“Heroes”), Nicollette Sheridan (“Desperate Housewives”), and Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, The Conjuring).
What’s the furthest you’ve ever gone to help a friend escape a bad relationship? Ward’s friends hate Ward’s wife and want her dead—but it’s Ward who wants her out of his life most of all. When his friends’ murderous fantasies turn into an (accidental) reality, the group has to deal with a whole new set of problems -- like how to dispose of the body and still make their 3 p.m. tee time.
The film, co-produced by Foley, Wilson, Carpinello’s Lost Rhino Films and Joe Hardesty, has been a pet project for all involved. Commenting on the film’s acquisition, Foley explains: “Patrick, James and I are thrilled that our passion project has garnered so much interest. Let's Kill Ward's Wife is a movie that we're all very close to and we know that Tribeca Film and Well Go USA provide the perfect home for our film.”
The film will release on VOD platforms in December 2014, followed by a theatrical release in January 2015.
