EMILY'S FIRST 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL

On Emily's first day of school, her teacher announces that there will be a party after 100 days. But with so much to do on day 1, Emily feels like it will take forever to reach day 100. However, as the days, weeks, and months go by, Emily and her new classmates learn about new ideas, broaden their horizons, and grow closer to one another with each passing day.

Directed by Gene Deitch and Ishai Setton

Gene Deitch is an Academy Award®-winning illustrator, animator, and film director who has produced animated cartoons for UPA/Columbia, MGM, and Paramount Pictures. Since 1968, Deitch has been the leading animation director for Weston Woods/Scholastic, in which capacity he turns children's picture books into animated films. In 2004, he was awarded the "Annie" by ASIFA Hollywood in recognition of his lifetime contribution to the art of animation. Deitch has lived in Prague since 1961.
