Tariq Trotter
Co-Founder of The Roots, actor, writer, producer, and creator, Tariq Trotter, aka Black Thought, has affirmed himself as one of the most prolific voices in hip-hop. He's won four GRAMMY® Awards, three NCAAP Image Awards and delivered numerous applauded albums with The Roots. He and The Roots Co-founder Questlove launched the production company TwoOneFive Entertainment.
His solo career includes acclaimed Streams of Thought series. The latest installment debuted in 2020. Lyrically dexterous and incisive, he encourages the game to move forward yet again.
In upcoming Audible Original, 7 Years, he examines his life and career in seven-year increments, accompanied by a powerful and personal music score.
Zola Mashariki
Mashariki spearheads the creation of all Audible original programming from concept to release, and has oversight over the entire studio operation including the development and implementation of content strategy. Mashariki has over two decades of experience in developing, producing, and packaging critically acclaimed award winning and commercially successful content for film and television. Mashariki spent fifteen years at Fox Searchlight Pictures where she served as Senior Vice President of Production. Prior to joining Audible, she held roles such as Head of Original Programming at BET/Viacom and Chief Content Officer for One Community.
