THE CHANGING LANDSCAPE OF THE NEWS

At the festival this year, there are several films that cover the varying approaches to the news that exist today. From a documentary on The 19th, Breaking the News, created to combat how marginalized voices are portrayed in the news, to the conflict documentarian who turned the camera on himself in Transition to Rather, a film on Dan Rather's legacy. This focus on the news goes beyond the festival, with a lot of upheaval and change in the space. Join us for a conversation crafted as a constructive look at the ways news is delivered today and what audiences can do to support those who provide the news.
