A conversation between two of the Mexican cinema greats. From the indie hit Y Tu Mamá También to blockbuster Gravity, film director Alfonso Cuarón has won two Academy Awards and received multiple international accolades and nominations for his work. Here he teams up with cinematographer and collaborator Emmanuel Lubezki, a three-time Academy Award winner for Best Cinematography for Birdman, The Revenant, and Gravity.

Alfonso Cuarón is a writer, director, and producer who first gained international recognition for the provocative road comedy Y Tu Mamá También, starring Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna. Cuarón received an Oscar® nomination for Best Original Screenplay for the film. In 2003, he directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban followed by Children of Men in 2006, which brought two Oscar® nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing. In 2013, Cuarón released his piece de résistance, the 3-D Gravity which he directed, produced, edited and co-wrote with his son Jonas Cuarón. The film won seven Academy Awards, including Best Director.
