Canadian playwright-director Jordan Tannahill partners with the National Theatre and the National Film Board Canada to create Draw Me Close, a vivid memoir about his relationship with his mother in the wake of her terminal cancer diagnosis. A deceptively simple and human approach to immersive technology allows the audience member to experience life as five-year-old Jordan inside a live, illustrated world. This special presentation at Tribeca Storyscapes is a world premiere of the first chapter of Draw Me Close.
Tannahill is a playwright and filmmaker. He has been described as 'the future of Canadian theatre' (NOW Magazine), 'the hottest name in Canadian theatre' (Montreal Gazette), and 'the posterchild of a new generation for whom 'interdisciplinary is not a buzzword but a way of life' (The Globe and Mail).
