A bride and groom arrive at their lavish honeymoon suite on their wedding night. Instead of relaxing and enjoying a romantic night together, they get into a fight that quickly derails into an all-night odyssey through the streets of Jerusalem. Over the course of a single night, the couple are forced to confront past lovers, repressed doubts, and the lives they’ve chosen to leave behind.
Writer and director Talya Lavie returns to Tribeca after her feature debut, Zero Motivation, won the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival Founder’s Award for best narrative feature and the Nora Ephron Prize. Her latest effort, Honeymood, is a stirring romantic comedy anchored by two lively and dynamic performances, cementing Lavie’s singular cinematic talent. —Shayna Weingast
