Ivonne Cotorruelo (Moderator)
Ivonne Cotorruelo is a film curator from Cuba based in NY. She has worked across festivals committed to independent and underrepresented voices, with current roles as Iberoamerican Programmer for the Miami Film Festival (MFF) and Film Programmer at Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF). Her previous curatorial work includes Senior Programmer for the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF), Features Programmer for the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF), Features Programmer for Outfest LA, and the Atlanta Film Festival, and shorts programmer for Aspen ShortFest. Alongside her programming work she works for initiatives such as Chicken & Egg Pictures, Film Independent Media Markers, WarnerMedia New Voices, and the Black and Latino Inclusion Fellowship. A Berlinale Talents alumna, her curatorial ethos is shaped by questions of proximity and encounter - how we come to films, and how they come to us- with an investment in fostering spaces of visibility, inclusion, and shared resonance. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Connecticut.
Rick Gonzalez
Rick Gonzalez has built an enduring career defined by versatility, charisma, and unforgettable performances across film and television. Best known for his critically acclaimed breakout role as Timo Cruz in Paramount’s Coach Carter opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Gonzalez delivered a performance that became the emotional heartbeat of the iconic film and cemented him as one of Hollywood’s most compelling actors. His film career spans an impressive range of standout projects, including Illegal Tender from legendary producer John Singleton, the supernatural thriller Pulse, the beloved coming-of-age comedy Roll Bounce, and Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster War of the Worlds alongside Tom Cruise. Gonzalez first captured Hollywood’s attention in Disney’s The Rookie opposite Dennis Quaid before starring in Biker Boyz with Laurence Fishburne. His additional credits include memorable performances in Old School, Pride and Glory with Colin Farrell, The Promotion, For Your Consideration, First Snow with Guy Pearce, Flying Lessons, and Laurel Canyon with Christian Bale. On television, Gonzalez has delivered scene-stealing performances in fan-favorite series including Reaper, Mr. Robot, and Peacock’s Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. He became a breakout favorite with audiences worldwide as vigilante “Wild Dog” during the final four seasons of The CW’s Arrow. Most recently, he starred as Detective Bobby Reyes on Law & Order: Organized Crime. Of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, Gonzalez trained at New York’s High School of the Performing Arts and began his career in off-Broadway productions before continuing his work between New York and Los Angeles.
Leslie Grace
Leslie Grace continues to captivate audiences as a multi-hyphenate entertainer, moving seamlessly between chart-topping music, acclaimed film performances, and high-profile television roles. A GRAMMY®-nominated recording artist and sought-after actress, Grace recently released her long-awaited album, Amor, ¿Quién Eres?. Her first new album in over a decade, it beautifully blends bachata, Latin pop, R&B, and her Dominican roots. Grace’s music career made history early on; at 17, she became the youngest female artist to reach #1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. Beyond music and film, Grace executive-produced and starred in QCODE’s dark comedy podcast How to Win Friends and Disappear People, which quickly hit #1 on Apple Podcasts’ scripted chart. Recognized in 2021 as one of Variety’s ""10 Actors to Watch"" and featured on The Hollywood Reporter’s ""Next Gen Artists"" list, Grace continues to build a dynamic body of work defined by emotional range and cultural perspective.
