From a look into dating in a country with over 30 million more men than women to middle schoolers making sense of the world through one of history’s most notorious dictators, this program features four new Op-Docs films that show the breadth of stories and styles in the program’s collection of over 450 films. 

Op-Docs is The New York Times’s Oscar-winning series of short documentaries by both renowned and emerging filmmakers from around the world. For nearly 15 years, Op-Docs films have sparked global conversations, influenced national policies and garnered an array of industry distinctions.
