Executive produced by Spike Lee, Cronies tells the story of lifelong friends bound together by tragedy. Louis and Jack, now adults, contend with the malaise of their urban lives. Jack spends his days drifting angrily around the streets of St. Louis, while Louis yearns for something more. When Andrew, Louis’ coworker enters the friendship, he destabilizes the friendship that was already seeing wear and tear. Director Michael J. Larnell’s debut feature investigates the complicated dynamic of close platonic friendship.
