To celebrate our Tribeca Interactive & Interlude: A Music Film Challenge in collaboration with The Lincoln Motor Company via Genero.tv, Damon Albarn and some very special guests performed at an event last night at the Highline Ballroom. 

Our co-founder Jane Rosenthal kicked things off by introducing a special sizzle reel with clips from all three winning music filmmakers: Jakub Romanowicz (Damon Albarn’s “Heavy Seas of Love”); Mohit Israney (Aloe Blacc’s “Ticking Bomb”); and, Máté Szabó (Ellie Goulding’s “Dead in the Water).  

Afterwards, Damon took the stage to perform songs from his debut solo album “Everyday Robots” including “Heavy Seas of Love.” The crooner brought his signature style and charm to the performance, much to the delight of the crowd. Making the evening even more special, the Harlem Gospel Choir joined Damon to sing backup for a few songs at the end of the evening, including “Mr. Tembo” about an orphaned baby elephant he met in Tanzania. And yes, Blur fans. Albarn did include “This is a Low” in his set list.
