Happy Birthday, Elaine Stritch!

Join us in saying Happy Birthday to the iconic comedienne.

Happy Birthday, Elaine Stritch!

Always hilariously blunt, and never out of style, Elaine Stritch made a name for herself on the Broadway stage, where she soon proved she could do it all. Her life was captured on screen in the documentary Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, an audience favorite at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013. At 89, she's still as fiery as ever.

When asked by The New York Times if she had any qualms about sharing the intimate details of her life on screen, Stritch said, "A little bit, but I enjoyed it. I wanted the public to know about me. I want them to know about my diabetes, I wanted them to know about what I had been through all my life in order to make them happy. I just love making an audience happy, I just do."

Thank you for making us happy, Elaine Stritch. Happy birthday to you!

Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me will open in select theaters on February 14th.
