It's been a tough week for cinephiles, made only harder with the news of Lauren Bacall's passing late last night. Across industries, movie lovers gathered on social media to remember the legend by reflecting on her work, style, life and personality. We've scoured the internet and found the best pieces honoring the legendary Lauren Bacall.

Variety's "Lauren Bacall: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Her Early Career" takes us back through Bacall's issues with Warner Brothers and her refusal to be manipulated. After being suspended for refusing a role, she and Humphrey Bogart took the time to vacation on their yacht. 

Remember how Howard Hawks discovered Lauren Bacall in a magazine? The Film Stage found the issue of Harper's Bazaar that drove the iconic director to make that call. She's as stunning as ever in this spread featuring a vacation by the sea.
