One of These Superstars is Getting A Museum Exhibition

Further solidifying the long-held suspicion that the internet was truly created for cat lovers, an upcoming multimedia exhibition centered around these cultural feline icons is set to debut at Astoria's Museum of the Moving Image on August 7th.

Entitled "How Cats Took Over the Internet", the exhibition plans to take a "critical look at the phenomenon of cats online and how they have transfixed a generation of web users," complete with looping screenings of famous cat videos, as well as an interactive station in which spectators can "experiment with creating their own lolcats and...contribute their favorite cat photos, GIFs, and videos to the exhibition." Cat people the world over can visit the exhibition, which runs until January 2016. Get ready for the inevitable book deal, Lil Bub. Oh, wait...
