The Play's Not The Thing: Love or Hate Sports, You Shouldn't Miss These Films

Adrenaline, art, blood, sweat, and tears. Sounds like a movie worth seeing, right? Thanks to the 2015 Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun, there are more than a dozen sports-centered screenings, talks, and events to enjoy this week and next.

The partnership is especially fitting for Mohegan Sun, which happens to be one of largest gaming, entertainment, and dining destination properties in the U.S.

“We are excited to once again be partnering with Tribeca for this year’s ESPN Sports Film festival,” said George Galinsky, Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications for Mohegan Sun. “The relationship started just over three years ago and has become more rewarding each year.”

From American racing car and wrestling culture, to Olympic gymnasts and Cuban muscle cars, the festival-within-a-festival crisscrosses continents, sports fables, and rivalries to tell compelling stories that make sports worth watching in the first place.

In addition to the outstanding film line-up, Spike Lee, Eva Longoria, Nate Silver, Retta, and more will take part in our special Tribeca Talks®: After the Movie events, a series of conversations during which audiences are able to interact with filmmakers, film subjects, and industry leaders after the screenings.

There’s still time to grab a seat (and stay at the edge of it). Here’s a link to the full film list and tickets.
