Today at Tribeca: TribecaTalks® Directors Series with Jay Roach & Ben Stiller and Sunday Afternoon Movies
Spend your Sunday with us at Tribeca, seeing movies (and the occasional celeb or two) as well as enjoying events that shed light on the creative process and tackle issues shaping the industry.

We can’t help but feel a little sad since our final Tribeca Drive-In®, co-sponsored by AT&T and JetBlue, screened last night. Luckily, the adorable Lil Bub attended the showing of Lil Bub & Friendz, so the series concluded “purrfectly.” Also, exceptional films like Sunlight Jr., Trust Me, Teenage, The Inside Out Project and more celebrated their world premieres last night, with support from their various cast members and creative teams.
Of course, a Sunday at Tribeca could never be a lazy one. A number of films and events are on tap to keep you on-the-go from sun up to way past sun down. If you want to plan your day so as to avoid the rush line, some tickets are still available for Michael H. Profession: Director, Some Velvet Morning, BIG JOY: The Adventures of James Broughton, Big Bad Wolves, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, V/H/S/2 and Bending Steel.
Today’s Events:
In our second installment of our popular Tribeca Talks® Directors Series, sponsored by OppenheimerFunds®, acclaimed director Jay Roach will be joined in conversation by long-time collaborator Ben Stiller. Oh, did we mention we’re livestreaming it today at 3PM?
Documentaries continue to evolve over the years into ever more complex, multi-format storytelling features so…where does the writer come in? Creative minds from Powerless, Red Obsession, Let the Fire Burn, Let the Fire Burn, and Oxyana will discuss the new documentary at our panel entitled Tribeca Talks® Pen to Paper: Whose Credit is it Anyway? Hosted by Barnes & Noble and moderated by Julia Bacha (Budrus).

Tomorrow Hightlights:
How do filmmakers navigate between journalistic precision and creative nonfiction? Are their choices too often shaped by financial demands from the business side of entertainment? A panel including Executive Vice President American Documentary | POV Cynthia López and leading documentary filmmakers Dan Krauss (The Kill Team) Morgan Spurlock, Kristi Jacobson and Shola Lynch will discuss these questions at a Tribeca Talks® Industry event entitled The Business of Entertainment: Truth, Persuasion and Bias in Documentaries. The group debate will be moderated by Bloomberg Chief Content Officer Norman Pearlstine and is sponsored by Bloomberg as well.
In our third installment of our Tribeca Talks® Directors Series, sponsored byOppenheimerFunds®, Director and Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter Richard Linklater will join his frequent and longstanding collaborators Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy in conversation about their work on Before Sunrise and the most recent installment in the series, Before Midnight.
