We're on our way to TFF 2014 Opening Night at the Beacon Theatre, co-sponsored by Hennessy V.S and Beats Music, supported by Heineken and Revolt! Before we go, we wanted to leave you with all the resources you need to plan your day tomorrow at TFF 2014.
First-time director Lou Howe's Gabriel starring Rory Culkin is opening the World Narrative Competition. The fascinating, fashion-focused Dior & I will be opening the World Documentary Competition while the hilarious vampirical love tale, Summer of Blood, directed by Onur Tukel is kicking off the Viewpoints section. Finally, opening the Midnight section - the hunters become the hunted in the terrifying backwoods thriller, Preservation.

Panelists include Academy Award® winning sound mixer Skip Lievsay (Gravity) and music supervisor Susan Jacobs (Silver Linings Playbook). Moderated by Glenn Kiser, Dolby Institute. This is a FREE event - no ticket is required.
Next up is Tribeca Talks® Pen to Paper: Repercussions of Truth, focusing on how filmmakers decide what facts and events to put into a film and which to omit. Panelists include director John Dower (Slaying the Badger), directors Tyler Measom & Justin Weinstein (An Honest Liar), directors Sam Cullman & Jennifer Grausman (Art and Craft). Moderated by Gordon Cox of Variety. This FREE event does not require a ticket.
Our second night of the Tribeca Drive-In® series is Ron Howard's beachy New York comedy, Splash, celebrating it's 30-year anniversary. Come early for Tails of Glory (the award-winning dancers from the Coney Island Mermaid Parade) performing a rockin’ homage to cinema. Plus face-painting, food trucks and more!
