CAMERA ROLL (FOR TAYLOR)

Documentary
A camera roll city cine-poem, filmed in Brooklyn in the vicinity of the Gowanus Canal. Shot on a single roll of 16mm film and made as a filmic postcard for a distant friend, Camera Roll captures a Brooklyn neighborhood's beauty and dereliction, industry and atmosphere, and the sounds of the elevated train rumbling in the distance.

Note: This film will screen as part of the Shorts: Human Landscapes program.


CAST & CREDITS

Directed by Eric Nyari and Joel Schlemowitz

Joel Schlemowitz has made more than 40 short experimental films. His work has received awards at the Chicago Underground Film Festival and screened at MoMA, Anthology Film Archives, Millennium Film Workshop, and elsewhere.
