Following the accidental death of his wife, Jie is unable to cope with her absence and the idea of raising his daughter, Ting, alone. Deciding it is better to end their lives than continue living with the pain of his wife's memory, Jie plans to show Ting the happiest day of her life. After several attempts to be a good father, Jie must execute the fatal decision he has made.

CHUN-YI HSIEH was born in Taipei. He's an MFA candidate in his third year at NYU and previously worked as an assistant director on several feature films and TV series in Taiwan and China. He is currently developing his thesis short, Cold Feet, a documentary project about the brutal pet dog business in Taiwan, as well as two feature scripts.
